We train on your boat at your
dock in your waterway with your equipment. We allow
up to 4 people to participate. We feel you should learn with

Voyager
Training
4 hour "on-water" instruction covering safety equipment,
pre-trip planning, safe boat operation, navigation and anchoring.
Special attention is given to docking and close-quarter handling.
Comprehensive BoatBoy handbook, information package and certificate
included.

Skipper
Training* Save $55!
2 training sessions consisting of the 4 hour "Voyager"
course and 3 hours of additional training within 10-14 days.
This allows students more time to improve their skills, expand
on the topics covered and provides an opportunity for multiple
people to practice docking and close-quarter handling. An overview
of mechanical & electrical systems can be included. A savings
of $55 compared with purchasing separately.
*The Skipper Training may satisfy the NJ required Boating Safety Certificate! Additional fees apply, contact us for more information.

Mariner
Training Save $100!
3 training sessions consisting
of the 4 hour "Voyager" course and two 3 hour additional
training sessions scheduled 10-14 days apart. This allows students
all the perks listed above in the "Skipper" course
plus an additional 3 hours to practice advanced skills such
as navigation, chart plotting, cruise planning and emergency
scenarios. This course offers intensive training and practice
drills therefore allowing the students to become confident,
safe, skilled boat operators. A savings of $100 compared with
purchasing separately.

First
Mate & Crew Training New!
3 hour "on-water" instruction covering tasks usually
assigned to the first mate or crew. We focus on knot tying,
line handling, using a boathook, fenders, crew positioning,
lookouts, navigation and radio operation. Discussion of emergency
scenarios and the importance of communication between Captain
and crew. Prerequisite: A skilled, competent
boat operator must attend training session to run the boat and
work the helm.

Trailer
Boat Training (TBT)
3 hour "on-water" instruction covering trailering,
launching, retrieving, docking, high speed running, stability
and fishing safety. Information package, discount card and certificate
included.

Training

handbook, information packet or certificate. Designed for move-up
and seasoned boaters to improve on a few specific areas.
