BoatBoy
Marine Training offers a new Small Boat Handling &
Trailering Course for the Angler & Family Boater
March, 2003. For immediate release-To
help make smaller boats safer, Boatboy Marine Training, a three-year-old
rapidly growing company, has just announced their latest safety
class, which targets the small boater who trailers their boat.
"It is vital that even the small
boat owner know how to handle their boat, understand high speed
running, trailering safety precautions and how to protect themselves
and others in the event of an emergency," says Capt. Russ Cohen,
general manager of Boatboy Marine Training. "Boating is a great
pastime of summer and Boatboy would like to help make it both safe
and enjoyable for everyone, including the small boater, since there
are so many more of them than larger boats."
The latest course includes training
for men, women, couples and families. This course
includes the following: detailed waterproof instructions on driving,
launching and retrieving your boat on a trailer, high speed running
and decreased stability, overloading and capsizing (a leading cause
of death on the water), docking at launch ramps, drifting, anchoring,
and safety techniques geared towards the fisherman. "Most small
boaters are first time boaters and need help with all the safety
requirements," says Capt. Russ Cohen. "The solution is
to make our course informative, fun, and affordable for the first
time boater at Their favorite ramp or boating location."
In addition to Boatboy's continuing
line of personalized boating services, Boatboy Marine Training provides
"on-water" instruction by USCG Licensed Captains who will
come directly to the customer's dock and train them using their
boat on their waterway. Other products and services offered by Boatboy
include: boat delivery, hauling, captain for a day service, training
to marinas and dealers, standard or customized instruction as well
as a waterproof laminated safety and emergency handbook.
Boatboy's staff has over 20 years
