Boating
Instruction Makes Sailing The Seas Safe and Easy For the Whole Family.
May, 2002
For immediate release-To help make
summer safer, Boatboy Marine Training, a two-year-old rapidly growing
company, has just announced their latest safety classes which target
the whole family.
"It is vital that every person
who steps on a boat know how to protect themselves and others in
the event of an emergency," says Capt. Russ Cohen, general
manager of Boatboy Marine Training. "Boating is a great pastime
of summer and Boatboy would like to help make it both safe and enjoyable
for everyone."
The latest courses include training
for women, couples and families. These courses are in addition to
Boatboy's continuing line of personalized boating services. Boatboy
Marine Training provides "on-water" instruction by USCG
Licensed Captains who will come to a customer's dock and train them
using their own boat on their waterway. The instructors will teach
students basic knowledge on safety equipment, docking, close quarter
handling, safe boat operation, wakes, high speed, rules-of-the-road,
navigation, and anchoring. Other products and services offered by
Boatboy include: boat delivery, hauling, captain for a day service,
training to marinas and dealers, standard or customized instruction
as well as a waterproof laminated safety and emergency handbook.
Boatboy's staff has over 20 years
of marine industry experience including: marine dealers, sales instructors,
and manufacturing marine accessories and safety equipment. Each
Boatboy instructor has been trained in CPR, first aid, Power Squadron
and United States Coast Guard Auxiliary classes. All instructors
have USCG Masters licenses and additional certifications including
sailing and towing endorsements, teaching certificates, and charter
experience. All have their own boats and enjoy the lifestyle boating
offers.
