BoatBoy Marine Training heads south
and expands operations into Southern Florida - Winter
2004
For immediate release-Boatboy Marine
Training, a three-year-old rapidly growing company, has announced
they will be offering their unique on-the-water instruction courses
- including boat handling and safety training - to Southeast Florida
starting this winter.
Boatboy Marine Training has been successfully
training boaters in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland
for the past three years and in the 2003 Season opened operations
in Long Island and the Hudson River Valley. "We feel that we
have made a significant impact on the boating community in these
areas and we did very well in Long Island for our first season"
says Captain Russ Cohen, general manager of Boatboy Marine Training.
"Boatboy recognizes that boating is a great summer pastime
and Southeast Florida offers us a whole new season during the winter
months. Plus, many of our customers spend time boating in Florida.
Because the south offers a longer season and increased boat traffic,
we feel on-the-water boat handling and safety skills training is
essential."
The latest courses include training
for women, couples and families. These courses are in addition to
Boatboy's continuing line of personalized boating services. Boatboy
Marine Training provides "on-water" instruction by USCG
Licensed Captains who will come to a customer's dock and train them
using their own boat on their waterway. The instructors will teach
students basic knowledge on safety equipment, docking, close quarter
handling, safe boat operation, wakes, high speed, rules-of-the-road,
navigation, fueling and anchoring. Other products and services offered
by Boatboy include: boat delivery, hauling, captain for a day service,
training to marinas and dealers, standard or customized instruction
as well as a waterproof laminated safety and emergency handbook.
Boatboy's staff has over 20 years
of marine industry experience. All instructors have a USCG Masters
license and additional certifications including sailing and towing
endorsements, teaching certificates, and charter experience. Our
instructors have been trained in CPR, First Aid, Power Squadron
and United States Coast Guard Auxiliary classes.
